Poor Mr Felder…He’s a member who is 71 years old, with back, knee, shoulder and hip problems. He comes out to play at least three times a week and he has the reputation of stealing from The Links lost and found drawer located behind the golf shop register.
Every time Mr. Felder comes in, he starts a conversation about life, in order to distract you from what he’s really doing behind the golf shop register. He claims he is just looking for something he lost last week. I always ask him, “Mr. Felder what exactly did you lose? Maybe if I knew, I could help you find it faster?” Truth is, he doesn’t know what he’s lost because he hasn’t lost anything. He always grabs something expensive like Ray Bans and says “Oh wow, I’ve been looking for these everywhere”.
Today it was a belt, which probably didn’t fit him, and a fancy ball marker that I think was Mr. McCarthy’s. I honestly don’t think we’ve ever had a full lost and found because of Mr. Felder and how often he “loses” something.
I’m just waiting for the day, when another member comes into the golf shop and says, “I think Mr. Felder stole my Ray Bans”.
